  • He served as Auxiliary Bishop to Bishop Basil D'Souza, after whose death he was elected as Diocesan Administrator on September 13, 1996.

  • Installed as Bishop of Mangalore on December 27, 1996.
  • His resignation from office became effective on July 3, 2018 when the Holy See appointed Msgr. Peter Paul Saldanha as Bishop of Mangalore.

  • He served as Asst. Parish Priest in Belle, Milagres-Mangalore and Vittal.
  • He was appointed on the staff of St Joseph’s Seminary.
  • He pursued higher studies in Rome, and then served as the Professor in Urbaniana University until his appointment as Bishop on July 3, 2018.
