This parish is carved out of Milagres, Bendore, Cordel  and Cathedral parishes  and was erected  on March 1, 1935.  Prior to this, Mass was being celebrated (temporarily) by Fr Gaulbert Noronha at the residence of Mr John Coelho. The Provincial of Sisters of Charity donated   6 acres of land  to build a new church. Mr George Lobo helped by donating a sum of Rs 6,000/-.   Rev. Msgr Raymond F.C. Mascarenhas named this parish  Angelore on January 1, 1937. On October 2, 1939, the new church building constructed by Fr Gaulbert Noronha was inaugurated and he became the first parish priest.   Fr Edward Lobo donated the statue for the Grotto which was inaugurated on June 30, 1940.  A bell was donated by Mr Everest (Avery) D’Souza, Mr A.R. D’Souza donated a sum of Rs 1,000/-  to erect  the main Altar. 

Fr Denis D’Souza constructed 15 houses and rented them out.  Fr John Sebastian Titus Rodrigues started a monthly bulletin called Angelorecho Ange and he built the Golden Jubilee Memorial Hall which was inaugurated in 1985.  Mr Simon Rasquinha donated the Marble Altar in 1972.  Fr Gregory D’Souza constructed the portico and belfry in 1977.  The old church was demolished in 1995 and Fr Norbert D’Souza constructed the new church which was inaugurated on April 28, 1997.  He started the work of the new presbytery.  Fr J.B. D’Souza completed the work of the presbytery in 1998.  Mrs Severine D’Souza, mother of Fr J.B.  D’Souza donated the new belfry. 

The Sisters of Charity started the Guardian Angels School on June 1, 1936, which is, now a Higher Primary School and also the Capitanio Girls’ School on June 1, 1940.  In 1949 St Ann’s Old-Age Home was constructed and inaugurated.
