Dec. 5: Diocese of Mangalore with the Leadership of Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha organized a Diocesan programme called: “Evolving the Pastoral Plan with Lay Leaders”(ಬಾಂವ್ಡಾಂ ಸಂಗಿಂ, ಗೊವ್ಳಿಕ್ ವಾವ್ರಾಂತ್ ಎಕಾಮೆಕಾಚೊ ಸಾಂಗಾತ್ – ಆಟವ್) for the lay faithful and priests’ representatives of the Diocese, on 4 December 2018 at Bendur Church Hall from 09.30am to 01.30 pm.
Sr. Rita Vas UFS lead the prayer. Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha being the president of the programme, gave the introductory speech and gave direction to the Pastoral Plan for the diocese. Fr Joseph Martis, the Moderator introduced the speakers and moderated the session. Rev. Fr Faustin Lobo gave the orientation on the need of the pastoral planning.

Mrs Ida D’Souza: “Wellbeing of Women & Children in the Pastoral Plan”

Mr J. R. Lobo: “Envolving Political and Bureaucratic Leadership through the Pastoral Plan”

After this Fr Joseph Martis presented a summary of some of the suggestions submitted in writing in advance. This was followed by a brain storming session in which good many participants vocalized their opinions and suggestions. In his presidential message the Bishop appreciated the input of the participants and thanked them for their active involvement.
Mr M. P. Noronha Secretory of the Diocesan Pastoral Parishad proposed the vote of thanks and the Bishop said the grace before meal. Program compered by Mrs Irene Rebello. The programme concluded with the lunch.
