Mangaluru, Aug. 03: Diocesan Pastoral Parished Meeting of Mangalore diocese was held on 1 August at Bishop House Mangalore chaired by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha.
Mr M P Noronha Secretary DPP presented the report of previous meeting.
Fr Vijay Machado Director of Mangala Jyothi gave input regarding the celebration of Extraordinary Missionary Month in October.
Fr Boniface Nazreth presented the draft of new constitution of PPC and members gave their corrections and amendments.
Fr Ronald Prakash D Souza director ICYM presented the report of year of youth activities. Fr Richard D Souza convener of Laudato Si’ Committee presented the report of the laudato Si Campaign this year.
Bishop in his message gave a call to become missionaries in our own places. We have done mission work in Bidar, Same Africa and now we have to become missionaries in the diocese. We must proclaim Christ without fear.
Msgr Maxim Noronha Vicar General of the diocese congratulated bishop on completing one year as bishop of the diocese of 15 September. He also wished well to bishop as he will be going on an official visit to Pope during that time.
