Mangaluru, Dec 7, 2025: The Family Commission of the Diocese of Mangalore, in collaboration with the Peyton Institute for Families, organized the Family Jubilee – Meet & Share Gala at Shanthi Kiran, Bajjodi, on Sunday. The event was marked by a spirit of joy, gratitude, and meaningful interaction among participating families. The programme was presided over by the Bishop of Mangalore, Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, who, in his inaugural address, encouraged couples to lead exemplary Christian family lives and become “beacons of hope” to younger families. Fr Santhosh Rodrigues, Director of the Pastoral Centre, was also present on the occasion. A total of 31 couples representing various parishes took part in the event. They shared valuable insights from their pre-marriage sessions and offered constructive suggestions, including the introduction of follow-up sessions after marriage to strengthen family life. During the programme, the resource persons of the Family Life Service Centre were honoured for their dedicated service. Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, Director of the Centre, coordinated and led the entire day’s events, ensuring smooth organization and active participation. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs Anitha D’Costa, appreciating the efforts of all contributors. Dr Judy Pinto efficiently compered the event.
