Diocesan Pastoral Parished meeting was held at bishop house on Thursday 16 July, 2015.
After the prayer Bishop felicitated the elected Catholic panchyat members and also those who elected as the President and vice president of different Panchyats.
Bishop in his felicitation speech congratulated the elected members and invited them to witness Christ and always support Christians.
Mr M P Noronha the DPP Secretary presented the report. Fr Alwyn Serrao Principal Padua College presented his paper on indirect Evengelization in Mangalore. It was followed by feed back and discussion on the topic. Members shared about their views on the topic and suggested various ways of evegelization in our diocese.
The conveners of various committee presented the report of the activities.Bishop gave his feed back and encouraged to reduce the expenses of our functions and celebrations.
Bishop welcomed the new members to DPP.
Bishop in his message spoke about in direct evegelization as the necessity today. Christians by their very baptism are called to be missionaries therefore we have to live and proclaim our faith. Most of the time we are either frightened shy or hesitating to speak the name of Jesus in the schools and in our institutions.
Mnsgr Denis Moras was present for the meeting and gave his suggestions and feed back. Mrs Victoria D Cunha moderated the session.
