Nov 25, 2016 – Mudipu : In St Joseph Vaz Shrine at Mudipu a beautiful Altar is being erected to St Joseph Vaz. When St Joseph Vaz was canonized in Shrilanka a statue of this great Saint was brought in procession from the Rosario Cathedral, to this Miraculous Hill and this statue is installed on this new Altar.
Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore presided over the ceremony and blessed this Altar. Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, the Shrine Director, Deacon Alwyn D’Souza, Vice President Roshan D’Souza and thousands of devotees witnessed this event. Food was served to all the devotees.
