ಶ್ರೀ ಯು ಟಿ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಕನ್ಯಾಶ್ರಿಯರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
“ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಏಕತೆ, ಭ್ರಾತೃತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಉದಾತ್ತ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಮೂಲವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಖಾದರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪಾವೂರು-ಉಳಿಯ ತೂಗುಸೇತುವೆ ಯೋಜನೆ: ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸಿದ ಖಾದರ್, ತಮ್ಮ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜನರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಕಾರಣವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪಾವೂರು-ಉಳಿಯ ತೂಗುಸೇತುವೆ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಮೊದಲ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಧನಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜ್ಯಾರಿಯಾಗುವಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಕಾರ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. “ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಹೋದರನಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿoದ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಖಾದರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ: ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಗುರು ಅತೀ ವಂದನೀಯ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಶ್ರೀ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಮಾತುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಪಾವ್ಲ್ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಶಾಲು, ಪೇಟಾ, ಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಪುಷ್ಪಗುಚ್ಛದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಯು ಟಿ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು.
ಅತೀ ವಂ. ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ, ಸಂಪರ್ಕಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಜೆ.ಬಿ. ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯ್ ಕ್ಯಾಸ್ತೆಲಿನೊ, ಸಿ.ಆರ್.ಐ ಅಧಕ್ಷ್ಷೆ ಸೀ| ಸೆವ್ರಿನ್ ಮೆನೆಜಸ್, ಯಜಕರ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್‌ನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಮಾರ್ಟಿಸ್, ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಪಾಲನ್ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಡಾ. ಜಾನ್ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಅಲ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಕಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಇವರುಗಳು ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿದರು.
ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಪಾವ್ಲ್ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಶ್ರೀ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು “ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಉಕ್ಕಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯ” ಎಂದು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. “ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರು ಜನತೆಯ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಸೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಬಂಧುತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಸಿದ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಣ್ಮಣಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿನ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ಶ್ರೀ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರು ಸರಳ, ಸಹೃದಯಿ, ಸಹಾನೂಭೂತಿವುಳ್ಳವರು. ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಪಾರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿoದ ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೂ, ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ನೆಹರು ಮೈದಾನ-ಬಂಧುತ್ವದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ: ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹೃದಯಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ 24 ಎಕರೆವುಳ್ಳ ‘ನೆಹರು ಮೈದಾನವನ್ನು’ ಕಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೊಜಿನಾ ಸಬಿನಾ ಕೊಯೆಲ್ಹೋ ಅವರು ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಅದು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ಏಕತೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. “ಈ ಮೈದಾನವನ್ನು ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ, ದ್ವೇಷದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಡೆದುಹಾಕುವಂತಹ, ಮುಕ್ತ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ, ಶಾಂತಿ-ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿoದ ಭ್ರಾತೃತ್ವದ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂಧುತ್ವದ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ತಾಣವಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀ ಅಲ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪುಷ್ಪಗುಚ್ಛವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.

I strive to realise his dream through the support of the Government,” said Shri U T Khader, Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly on September 16, 2023, at Bishop’s House, Kodialbail, Mangalore.
Shri U T Khader was addressing the Priests, Religious Sisters and Lay faithful of the Diocese of Mangalore at the felicitation programme organised by the Diocese of Mangalore.
“The Christian community has contributed a lot to the unity, fraternity and integral growth of the nation and the society. The education and noble values received in Catholic educational institutions have become a source of strength and instilled confidence in me,” said Khader.
Pavur Uliya Hanging Bridge project: Reflecting on his past developmental endeavours, Khader attributed their success to the grace of God and the prayerful support of the people. He specifically highlighted his dedication to the Pavur Uliya Hanging Bridge project, assuring that it would receive top priority and government funding. “As your elder brother, I will gladly respond to the needs and demands of the common people if brought to my notice, Khader added.”
Felicitation to Shri Khader: Msgr. Very Rev. Maxim Noronha, Vicar General extended warm greetings to Sri Khader with the words of felicitation. Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha felicitated Shri U T Khader with a shawl, peta, garland and banquette of flowers along with Msgr. Very Rev. Maxim Noronha, Rev. Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha hailed Shri Khader as, the “Steel Man of South Canara.” He has united hearts and has strengthened bonds of solidarity in the community. “I am overwhelmed to honour the icon of Mangalore who has elevated Mangalore’s reputation to new heights.”
Bishop Saldanha said, “Shri Khader has been very kind and affectionate. At his every success, he approached me for blessings from God.”
Bishop stated that the vast Nehru Maidan with 24 acres of land at the heart of Mangalore was donated by a catholic, Ms Rozina Sabina Coelho which has become the centre of solidarity and unity. The Kendra Maidan has been utilised for sports and other cultural and religious purposes. “This place has to foster “Bandhutva” making us more open-minded, peace-loving and removing hate culture and differences,” the bishop said.
Mr Alwyn Dsouza along with all the office bearers of the Catholic Sabha, Mangalore® also felicitated Mr Khader with a a bouquette of flowers.
Sr Cecilia Mendonca, Provincial Superior, Bethany, Mangalore, and Sr Marceline Braggs honoured Shri Khader with a bouquette of flowers.
