May 11, 2017 : British Deputy High Commissioner in Bengaluru, Mr Dominic McAllister, visited Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza Bishop of Mangaluru on 11 May 2017 at the Bishop’s House. The purpose of the meeting is to seek the advice of Bishop on possible areas of collaboration between the UK and the various educational institutions, charities and social ventures that the Mangalore Diocese is associated with. Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu the Vicar General , Fr Wiiliam Menezes the PRO , Fr Jerald D Souza Secretary Catholic Board of Education, Fr Richard D Souza Director Canara Communication Centre were present at the occasion. The concerns regarding education and collaborations , political scenario and minority right violations, issues regarding of Christian persecutions in various forms etc were discussed during the visit.
