Mar. 06: The catechism day of the diocese of Mangalore was celebrated on 3 March 2019 at Pastoral Institute Mangalore. The Bishop Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha presided over the Eucharist celebration and preached the homily.Fr Vijay Machado, Director Mangalajyothi, Fr Boniface Pinto Professor St Joseph Seminary ,Fr Peter D Souza Director Pastoral Institute were concelebrants of the Mass.
After the Mass the rank holders of catechism exams were honoured by the Bishop.
The inputs were given Fr Maxim Rosario St Joseph Seminary and Mr Stany Veigas from Ferar on environment , farming , Ecology.
Students parents priests and religious took part in the program.
Fr Vijay Machado welcomed the gathering Mr Lancy Rodrigues and Mr Fredrick Ferrao compered the programme.
On 2 March 2019 for the first time Non Christian students who secured high marks in moral education exams were felicitated.
