Mangaluru, Nov 5: Fr Arun Lobo has taken charge as the director of Shanthi Kiran, a diocese counselling centre which is opened for the public in offering services in counselling, career guidance, family, stress guidance and adjustment problems. Shanthi Kiran is situated at Pastoral Institute, Bajjodi near Nanthoor junction in Mangaluru.
Fr Arun has his masters in guidance and counseling from De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. He has made his specialized research among the adolescents. He defended his thesis ‘Stress and social support among left behind addis cents of overseas Filipina workers’ which was well appreciated by the university. His thesis was published in Philippine Journal of Psychology. He has also a diploma in Psychology and has certificate course in Journalism, music and office managements.
