Gladsom day (minor Seminary of Mangalore diocese) was celebrated on 15 January 2015 at Gladsome home Mangalore,with the Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop of Mangalore and many concelebrant priests. Fr Alfred Ryan in his homily high lighted the need of vocations in the church. Religious sisters, parents of the candidates , friends, relatives, former students, neighbours and well-wishers and the Vicar General Mnsgr Denis Moras Prabhu were present.
Recalling his memories at Gladsom home 30 years back, Bishop appriciated the services of Rectors and students of Gladsome. He remembered the donours Mr Jacob Rego & Glasdys Rego who donated the present house and prayed for their souls. Addressing parents and students he said “it’s our responsibility to nurture Gods call and speak well about priests and religious”, as this yearis dedicated to consecrated life. Fr Vincent Lobo the Rector welcomed the gathering, Program concluded with high tea.
