Mangaluru Mar 21: Pastoral consultation of the diocese of Mangalore and blessing of the Holy Oils and the renewal of priestly vows was held on 21 March in the diocese.
First part of the programme was held in the seminary in which priests who completed 50 years of priestly commitment were facilitated.
After the prayer service lead by Fr. Simon and team, priests who completed more than 50 years of priestly life were felicitated which included Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza the Bishop of Mangalore, Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu Vicar General of the diocese many other priests. Fr Aloysius the Oldest priest of the diocese was felicitated at the occassion. A movie sant Bhagitha was screened at the morning session.
In afternoon the recollection and confessions were held at Rosario Cathedral which was followed by Chrism Mass and renewal of vows during the mass presided over by our Bishop.
More than 200 priests took part in the pastoral consultation and Chrism Mass.
