Dec 18, 2016: St Joseph the Worker Church ’Sabhabhavana’ was a gift to the Vamanjoor people. The Thanksgiving Holy Eucharistic at 9.30 am was officiated by Rt Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop of Mangalore. In his homily he said as we are close to celebrate the Birth of our Lord Jesus, it is a time to prepare spiritually by attending daily Eucharistic celebration and strengthen our faith.
At 11.15 Rt Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, Inaugurated the Church Sabhabavana. Prayer Service was conducted by Sisters from St Raymond Convent, Vamanjoor and Queen of the Apostles SRA. Bishop of Mangaluru blessed the Hall along with the Parish Priest Rev Fr. Cyprian Pinto.
The Stage function started by lighting the ‘Diya’ (Lamp) by Bishop A P D Souza and the dignitaries of dais.
Mr J R Lobo, MLA Mangaluru South Constituency and Chairman of Legislative Standing Committee for Backward Classes and Minority in his message appreciated Rev Fr Cyprian Pinto and said it is possible only because of the hard labour and it is a prestigious and beautiful hall. Congratulations.
Mr Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Lok Sabha, Mangaluru Loka Sabha Constituency addressed the gathering and said Catholics of Dakshina Kannada are the treasure to our District. They give value based education to the people. May this hall give peace to the entire world.

Rt Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop, Diocese of Mangalore in his Presidential Speech appreciated Rev Fr Cyprian Pinto for his undaunted courage to bring up this huge and beautiful Sabhabhavana. He thanked the donors for their generosity and blessed each and every one. He prayed blessings on the meal and prayed those who labored to prepare this meal.
Rev Fr. Cyrian Pinto, Parish Priest welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Mr. Joachim thanked and Mrs Sapna Saldhana and Mrs Asumpta Pais were the Master of Ceremony for the day.
