MANGALURU. DEC 15: The ‘Mangalore Christian Council’ (MCC) celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 4.30 p.m. at Rosario Cultural Hall, Mangaluru.
The function was presided by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore. The new Bishop of CSI-Karnataka Southern Diocese Rt Rev. Hemachandra Kumar, Bishop of Malankara Catholic Diocese of Puttur, Most Rev. Dr Geevarghese Mar Makarios, and Fr Baptist Menezes , National Ecumenical Secretary (CBCI) were the Chief Guests.
The new Bishop of CSI-Karnataka Southern Diocese Rt Rev.Hemachandra Kumar was felicitated at this occasion. The former Secretaries (between 2012-2022) Rev. Dr J B Saldahna, Rev Clifford Fernandes and Rev Sagar Sundaraj and the treasurer Mr F.M Lobo were also felicitated. Rev. Dr H.M Watson, Principal Karnataka Theological College and Rev. Dr Ronald Serrao, rector, St. Joseph’s Seminary offered special prayers on this occasion. Rev. M Praburaj, Area Chairman CSI-DK Area and Mr Alfred Manohar All Karnataka United Christian forum for Human Rights –Western Zone were present.
ThePrizes were distributed for all those winners of the Essay Competition conducted on the occasion of diamond Jubilee. Members of various denominations, Christian institutions and faith communities presented the Christmas message through Music, Singing, Dance and Drama and entertained the audience.
The Mangalore Christian Council is a voluntary Body of Christians, under the patronage of the Bishops of the Church of South India – The Southern Karnataka Dioceses and the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore. It also has membership drawn from the various mainline Christian denominations in Mangaluru, calling people to live in harmony and peace, promoting unity among Christians and the values of Christ Jesus.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ ಇದರ ವಜ್ರಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್‌ಮಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ರೊಸಾರಿಯೊ ಕಲ್ಚರಲ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 14ನೇ ಬುಧವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಧರ್ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಅತೀ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಪೀಟರ್ ಪಾವ್ಲ್ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ ಇವರು ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಥಿತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಸಿ.ಎಸ್. ಐ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ದಕಿÀ್ಷಣ ಸಭಾಪ್ರಾಂತದ ನೂತನ ಧರ್ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಹೇಮಚಂದ್ರ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಫಾದರ್ ಬ್ಯಾಪಟಿಸ್ಟ್ ಮಿನೆಸಸ್, ನ್ಯಾಶನಲ್ ಎಕ್ಯುಮಿನಿಕಲ್ ಸೆಕ್ರೆಟರಿ , ಮಲಂಕರ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಅತೀ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಗೀವರ್ಗೀಸ್ ಮಾರ್ ಮಕಾರಿಯೋಸ್À ರವರು ವಜ್ರಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಥಿಯೊಲೊಜಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ರೆವೆ.ಡಾ.ಎಚ್.ಎಮ್ ವಾಟ್ಸನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಸೆಮಿನರಿಯ ರೆಕ್ಡರ್ ಆದ ಡಾ.ರೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ರೆವೆ. ಎಮ್.ಪ್ರಭುರಾಜ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಆಫ್ ಸೌತ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡÀ ವಲಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಮಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಆಲ್ಫೆçಡ್ ಮನೋಹರ್, ಆಲ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಯುನೈಟೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಫೋರಂ ಫಾರ್ ಹ್ಯುಮನ್ ರೈಟ್ಸ್ – ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ವಲಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ನೂತನÀ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ 2012-2022 ವೇಳೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ರೆª.ೆ ಡಾಜೆ.ಬಿ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ, ರೆವೆ. ಕ್ಲಿಫರ್ಡ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್, ರೆವೆ. ಸಾಗರ್ ಸುಂದರ್‌ರಾಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಖಜಾಂಜಿರವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಫ್.ಎಂ ಲೋಬೋರವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿAದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್‌ಮಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳೂ ನಡೆದವು.
ರೆವೆ. ರೂಪೇಶ್ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸ್ವ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು
ಶ್ರೀ. ಅನಿಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಗ್ಲೋರಿಯರವರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ರೆವೆ.ಡಾ.ಸಂದೀಪ್ ಥಿಯೋಫಿಲ್ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ನೆರೆವೇರಿಸಿದರು.
ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ ಕ್ರೆöÊಸ್ತ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಚರ್ಚ್ ಆಫ್ ಸೌತ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ-ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕ್ರೆöÊಸ್ತ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಭೆಗಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಇದರ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ, ಶಾಂತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರÀ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಕುಲದ ಸೇವೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಕ್ಷಮೆ, ಕರುಣೆ, ಸೇವೆ, ಕ್ರೆöÊಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು, ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತರಲು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
