“I am the instrument of Lord Jesus he has blessed me and he has extend his kind hand on me all these years” said Rev Fr G W Vas in reciprocal message for the honoring done by the parish community of Milagres Church Mangalore today on the occasion of 50th Priestlyhood celebration on 11th of December 2016 after 7 am Mass. Thanks giving mass was offered at 7 am mass along with Parish Priest Rev Fr Valerian, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Anil, Resident Priest Rev. Fr William Menezes.
During the ceremony Parish Priest Fr Valerian asked the parishioners to prepare themselves to welcome the Jesus Christ who will be arriving in few days. We will have Christmas feast, in these days we must make our self prepared and must bring new thinking. We must transform our self in a happy person. Celebration brings happiness with us when we celebrate our birthday, wedding anniversary we call all dear and near ones and share the joy and happiness with them similarly Christian life is a celebration. Reason this life is a gift given by god and all must celebrate it because this life is precious we all must enjoy bits and pieces of it .This happiness we should share with us with our family and with our neighbors. We should try to double the happiness with others by sharing it.
After the Mass a short felicitation program was organized by parish pastoral committee. Fr Vas was felicitated by Shawl and flowers by Parish Priest Rev Fr Valerian and Rev Fr William Menezes and Parish Vice president Ivan Dsouza.
In his thanks giving message Fr Vas said “I have served more than 39 years in various schools and Mother Mary was my guardian in all these places. I thank Rev Fr Vally for organizing this event. Also I thank all Resident Priest, Parish Pastoral Council and Vice President Mr Ivan Dsouza“.
Fr Anil compered the program and thanked all.
