June 22, 2018: St Mary’s Central School, Kinniogoli has a history of 6 years. Since its establishment the school has emerged as the educational power house in the vicinity of Kinnigoli. The new pre-primary school was the need of the hour. Because the previous building was quite old and it was very difficult to accommodate the growing number of students in this building. As Fr Alfred J. Pinto saw the vision of St. Mary’s Central School, Very Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro magnanimously took the challenge of constructing the new building for pre-primary section. The dream came true on 1st June 2018 as the new building was inaugurated and blessed by honorable invited dignitaries. June 1st 2018 will be remembered as the historical day in the life of St Mary’s Central School, Kinnigoli.
The Correspondence Very Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro cut the ribbon and formally inaugurated the building. It was followed by the opening of the doors of class rooms by the guests. The prayer service and the blessing of the school was led by Very Rev. Fr Alfred J. Pinto, the parish priest of Mai De Dues Church, Puttur. After blessing the new building a short program of felicitation was organized at Church hall.
Newly elected MLA Mr. Umanath Kotyan was honored for being elected as the MLA of Mulki-Moodbidri constituency. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta was felicitated for his magnanimous hard work towards the institution and also felicitation was given to all those who have worked tirelessly. Very Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro were being felicitated and honored for his leadership and vision. The citation was read out by Sr. Nirmal and it was presented to him by the honorable guests on the dais. Fr Paul Sequeira, Parish priest of Corpus Christi Church Moodbidri, Mr. Umanath Kotyan, Very Rev. Fr Alfred Pinto and Very Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro addressed the gathering. Mrs. Philomena Sequeira, President of Kinnigoli Grama panchayath, Mr. Francis Cutinha, chairman of MCC Bank Ltd. Mangalore, Mr. Sunil Menezes, the General Manager of MCC bank were among the guests of honour. The Principal of SMCS, Kinnigoli Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Shaila Sequeira proposed Vote of thanks. School choir helped to sing the prayer song and national anthem. Friends and well-wishers have come in large number to witness the historical program. A well organized program was compared by Mrs. Vinaya.
