Dec 3 : Anand Ashram Trust, Kanhangad has donated a Dialysis Machine to Father Muller Medical College Hospital here on Friday 30 November 2018. This marks to be the 25th dialysis machine at the hospital.
Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Administrator, FMMCH welcomed the gathering.
Inaugurating the dialysis machine, Swami Mukthanandaji, Managing trustee of Anandh ashram said, “Anandashram was founded in 1931 by Swami Ramdas with the motto of Chanting God’s praises, loving him and serving humanity. As Swami Ramdas once said, ‘Service is the perfume of life’, we his followers replicate the same and hence we decided to collaborate with this great institution and with the supreme vision of Father Mullers. To revere all is the true bhakti of God and at Anadhashram we focus on spreading universal love and service to the suffering humanity”, he added.
Director of FMCI, Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho blessed and prayed over the dialysis machine. And on the occasion, he expressed his gratitude to Anand Ashram and team. He said,” Father Mullers has added another feather in its cap by inaugurating a new dialysis machine which marks to be 25th dialysis machine. Patients who visit Fr Mullers experience solace and peace. At present we have three sessions of dialysis and the unit functions from 3 a. m in the morning. We also provide treatment to the needy patients at a subsidized rate.”
He further quoted St John’s letter from the Bible, “Whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen”, and said,”Serving our least brethren is like serving the invisible God”.
Later, Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho felicitated Swami Mukthanandaji with a shawl and floral bouquet.
Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Assistant Administrator, FMMCH, Dr Jaya Prakash Alva, Dean, FMMC, Dr Padmaja Udaykumar, Vice-Dean, Dr Uday Kumar, MS, Dr B. Sanjeev Rai, CMS, Sr Janet, Chief Nursing Officer, Dr Manjunath, Head of Urology Department and Dr Amit, Nephrology Department, doctors, nurses and members of Anandashram were present on the occasion.
