Mangaluru, Aug 3: A Catholic Scholar Dr B S Talwadi‘s “Sarastheerada Sobagu” a Tavellogue was released by Bishop Dr Ignatius D’Souza, Bishop of Bareilly at Sandesha Foundation on Wednesday 2 August.
Speaking on the occasion, the Bishop lauded the noble task of Dr Talwadi and his contribution to Kannada literature especially literature on catholic faith, “Dr Talwadi has travelled across the countries and presented is journey through his panoramic writings” said the Bishop.
A stalwart in folklore, Dr Talwadi said, travelling and writing is my passion. It’s a privilege to contribute my mite to the society with my pen. He also elucidated the contents of the travelogue. It contains the history, folklore and the growth of Christianity in the Gangetic plains.
The man with his magic hand has penned 238th book with his magic wand. ‘ Sarastheeradasobagu’ which is dedicated to Dr Ignatius D Souza Bishop of Bareilly’ speaks about author’s journey to North India, his experiences, Christian folklore of the places and his discoveries.
Fr Victor Vijay Lobo the Director of Sandesha, Bro Victor Crasta the Asst Director of Sandesha, Mr Roy Castelino trustee of Sandesha, Dr Ignatius D Souza Bishop of Bareilly and Dr B.S Talwadi were present on the stage.
Eminent scholars, priests, sisters and friends of the author were present for the programme.
