MANGALURU, MAY 11: The senior priests of the Diocese of Mangalore, Rev. Fr Norbert Lobo and Rev. Fr Valerian Rodrigues celebrated golden jubilee of their Pristly ordination on May 11, 2023 at St Zuze Vaz Home, Jeppu Mangalore.
Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore offered the thanksgiving Eucharist at St Zuze Vaz Chapel and prayed for the jubilarians.
Rev. Fr Norbert Lobo said that Fr Valerian and himself were ordained priest on May 11, 1973 at Rosario Cathedral by then bishop, Most Rev. Dr Basil Salvodore Dsouza.
He thankfully rememebered all the formators, priests, family members and companions who have gone to their eternal rest.
In a short felicitation programmes held after the mass, Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha greeted the jubilarians with his few words of appreciation and honoured them with a shawl and flowers.
The resident priests of St Zuze Vaz Home, Fr Basil Vas, Fr Wilson Dsouza and Fr Roshan DCunha were present among the friends and family memebrs of the jubilarians.
