November 10, 2024, Mangalore : The Diocese of Mangalore remains dedicated to deepening the faith and active participation of its laity through regular Adult Catechesis on the Liturgy and Sacraments, along with focused training sessions for lectors. These initiatives, organized through the Diocesan Biblical Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (DBCLC), are being held consistently across parishes, empowering the faithful to engage meaningfully in parish life.
One such program recently took place at St Antony’s Parish, Naravi, where 72 participants gathered for a half-day catechesis and lectors training session. Led by Rev. Fr. Vijay Machado, Director of DBCLC, Mangala Jyothi, the session included insightful teachings on the importance of the sacraments and effective proclamation of the Word of God.
The Diocese of Mangalore remains committed to hosting these programs as part of its mission to strengthen community faith and involvement. By offering regular sessions in parishes throughout the region, the Diocese ensures that parishioners across all communities receive the guidance and formation needed to serve in liturgical roles with dedication and reverence.
