Mangalore May 28 : The Mangalore Diocesan NGO commemorated its 50th anniversary on 28th May 2024, at St. Sebastian Centenary Hall. The celebration was presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore, with co-celebrants Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Serao, Bishop of Shimogga; Rt. Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Emeritus Bishop of Mangalore; and Rt. Rev. Dr. Jerald Issac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi. The event was attended by numerous priests from the city and Episcopal Deanery, religious sisters, and over 300 faithful who participated in the Eucharistic celebration at Bendur Church.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಸಿ ಓ ಡಿ ಪಿ ಇದರ ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಸಂತ ಸಬಸ್ತಿಯನರ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜರಗಿತು. ಸಿ ಓ ಡಿ ಪಿಯ ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಪೌಲ್ ಸಲ್ದಾನವರು ನೆರವೆರಿಸಿದರು. ಮೂವರು ಬಿಷಪರು 30 ಮಂದಿ ಗುರುಗಳು 300 ಮಂದಿ ಭಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಸುವರ್ಣ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಸಂತ ಸೇಬಸ್ತಿಯನರ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಪೌಲ್ ಸಲ್ದಾನವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊರವರು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ, ಮಾಜಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಂದನೀಯ ಎಡ್ವರ್ಡ್ ಪಿಂಟೊರವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಪೆಟ್ರಿಶಿಯಾ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು
ಉಡುಪಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಜೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಲೋಬೊರವರು ಸಿ ಓ ಡಿ ಪಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ವಂದನೀಯ ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಪಿಂಟೋವರವನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಿಷಪರು ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಿ.ಓ.ಡಿ.ಪಿ ನಡೆದು ಬಂದ ಹಾದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಡಜನರಿಗೆ ಮನೆಕಟ್ಟಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ದಾಖಲೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅನಿವಾಸಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಸೂರು ನೀಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾನ ನೀಡಿದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು
ಒಟ್ಟು 3 ಕೋಟಿ 11 ಲಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 1 ಕೋಟಿ 82 ಲಕ್ಷದ 75 ಸಾವಿರ 1,82,75000/- ಮೊತ್ತವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾರವರು 75 ಹೊಸ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ, 55 ಮನೆ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಹಾದಾನಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಪಾಲ್ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಐರಿನ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ರವರು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನಿಕಿತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ರವರು ಫಾದರ್ ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಸಿ ಓ ಡಿ ಪಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಇವರ ಮುಖೇನ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
The festivities commenced at Bendur Church Hall with a prayer dance performed by Remona Pereira and her team. Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha, the event’s president, honoured the “Moga Nolo” donors of the housing scheme. Bishop Jerald of Udupi Diocese recognised the contributions of past directors, while the founder secretary, Monsignor Edwin Pinto, was felicitated by Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha. Mr. Michael D’Souza, who generously donated Rs. 1,82,75,000, was also honoured.
Two documentaries showcasing the CODP’s housing initiatives for the poor were screened during the celebration. The Golden Jubilee was marked by the announcement of 75 new houses for the underprivileged and repair support for 55 families. Parishes and individuals who made significant contributions were recognised. In his presidential speech, Bishop Peter emphasised the CODP’s mission of aiding the poor and sorrowful.
Patricia, a former CODP secretary, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was emceed by Mrs. Irene Rebello and Mr. Francis D’Cunha, while the present secretary, Mrs. Nikeeta, and staff member Mr. Praveen, coordinated the event under the supervision of Fr. Vincent D’Souza, CODP Secretary.
1,82,75,000/- was honored. Two documentaries on CODP housing for the poor was screened on the time of the celebration. The CODP Golden Jubilee marked with the special event of the 75 new houses for the poor & 55 families for repairs. Parishes who donated the highest amount and family wise contribution were honored in his Presidential speech. The President, Bishop Peter spoke of CODP as shedding tears of the poor and the sorrowful. Patricia CODP past Secretary proposed vote of thanks. The programme was compared by Mrs. Irene Rebello and Mr. Francis Dcunha. The present Secretary and the staff Mrs. Nikeeta and Mr. Praveen managed the programme, under the supervision of Fr.
