MANGALORE, MAY 18: Episcopal City Deanery “Altar servers camp” was held on 14 th May at Bejai church hall.
Around 129 Altar servers took part from 9 parishes of the Deanery.
The Parish Priest of Bejai and PRO of the Mangalore diocese Fr JB Saldanha Inaugurated the camp at 9:30am.
The inaugural prayer service was followed by a formal Inauguration.
Altar servers were divided into 6 groups.
A talk on Altar servers, holy Eucharist, Bible quiz,action songs, Exhibition were the highlights of the meet.
Fr Vincent sequeira, and Fr Rupesh Madtha were the resource persons for the meet. Fr Vincent spoke about the importance of Altar Servers and Fr Rupesh Madtha spoke about conduct of altar servers.
The Altar Quiz was organised by Fr Suraj Joseph Lobo. The camp was organized to recognise the service of Altar servers and to get back all the Altar servers post pandemic, to promote unity among them, a healthy competition and to provide good entertainment.
At the end the prizes were distributed to the children.
The programme ended with the Eucharist celebration followed by lunch.
