Third Motivation programme of 2016-17 for Educare beneficiaries was held on 4th December 2016 at CODP, ISD Hall. Mrs. Reena led the programme into prayer. Fr. Oswald Monteiro, Director of CODP welcomed the resource person Dr. Alwyn D Sa, Vice Principal of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore
Mrs. Reena, in her introductory speech explained the basic objectives of Educare, motivation programme, renewing loan, repayments, excellence in studies, CAP Cell Quiz, voluntary service to TWS etc.
Dr. Alwyn D Sa the Vice Principal of St. Aloysius College dwelt on enhancing employability. He explained about the pronunciations, fluency in English, how to introduce ourselves when we attend the interview, how to write bio data etc. This session was very useful to the students.
Second session was conducted by Fr. Richard D Souza, Director of Canara Communication, Mangalore Diocese. He spoke on effects of social evils and social media like internet, Mobile, Facebook, Whatsapp, drugs etc on modern youth. The session was very interesting and students actively participated as resource person spoke by quoting real examples and videos.
66 students participated in the programme which ended at 1.15 pm. Mrs Reena proposed vote of thanks.
