Sep 29 : Catholic Board of Education (CBE) organized an awareness program for all the correspondents of schools come under CBE from Mangalore and Udupi districts on 28 September 2018 at Pastoral Institute Mangalore.
The purpose of this seminar is to provide inputs on laws regarding PF, ESI, gratuity, Just wages, social justice, accounts etc and update their knowledge. Mr Sunil Gonsalves Charter Accountant gave inputs on various issues connected to education. It was an interactive session where the correspondents clarified their doubts.
Speaking about the program, Fr Anthony Shera the Secretary of CBE said, “We need to give more importance to Mission aspect of education, not as business. We need serious minds to think and work together to streamline the education system in the dioceses. The correspondents must pay attention to just wages, salary, transparency in accounts and be updated with latest educational laws.
56 correspondents from various educational institutions of CBE took part in the program.
