23-07-2016: Funeral rites of Fr Norbert Fernandes ( 73) who passed away yesterday was held on 23 July Saturday at Valencia Church. Most Rev Dr A P D Souza Bishop of Mangalore presided over the funeral mass with con celebrant priests.Fr Vincent Victor Menezes preached the homily at the mass.
Fr Norbert was born on 18 July 1943 at Belloor Parish.After completing the seminary formation he was ordained priest of the diocese of Mangalore on December 20 1968.He was a great spiritual writer contributed many articles booklets and books on various topics like Eucharist, life of Saints and Mother Mary.Fr Paul Pinto gave the panegyric.Many priests religious family members and faithful took part in funeral rites.
