May 16, 2017: After the orientation towards the pastoral ministry the new priests of Mangalore and Udupi diocese were commissioned by Most Rev Dr Aloysius D Souza, Bishop of Mangalore during the Eucharistic celebration held on 15 May 2017 at Pastoral Institute. Fr Walter D Souza preached the Homily. After the mass bishop was felicitated on behalf of Pastoral Institute and new priest on his 21 Episcopal Ordination anniversary. Bishop in his address to new priests said “don’t forget the purpose of becoming a priest – Love Jesus Live Jesus and Give Jesus”. He also distributed the Kit which is useful for their pastoral ministry.
