Mangaluru, Jan 14 : Shakthingar Church here celebrated its patron Mother of God’s feast on Sunday 13th January 2019. Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul Dsouza, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Mangaluru was the main celebrant. Rev Fr Antony Prakash Monterio , St. Philomena College, Puttur preached the homily.
People in large number participated in the Holy Mass. On this occasion, Year of Youth was inaugurated by the Bishop. Rev Fr Ronald Dsouza readout the prayer for youth. Rev Fr Gerald Dsouza, Parish Priest thanked everyone. Rev Fr Nilesh Crasta Asst. Parish Priest, Asha Monterio, Vice President and William Colaso Secretary were present.
