May 7 : Opus Spiritus Sancti, the Secular Institute of women, held the celebration of First dedication on Monday May 6, 2019 at Infant Mary church, Bajjodi.
Four sisters made their First dedication and offered themselves in the service of the Lord. Dr Peter Paul Saldhana, bishop of Mangaluru officiated at the Eucharist along with seven priests.
The bishop exhorted the sisters saying “The essence of religious life is to love Jesus and to live in communion with Him”. Sr Lilly Dsilva, the Regional Leader accepted their vows. She felicitated them for their courageous step to carry the light of Christ to the ends of the earth.
“We congratulate them for their daring ‘yes’ and their faithfulness to God”.
