Oct 30 : The annual feast of St Jude Shrine was held on 28th October 2018. Before the mass at 9:00am newly appointed Bishop of Mangalore diocese was honoured by people of all walks of life at Pakshikere town and there was a procession back to church for solemn Eucharistic celebration.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was at 10.30 am presided over by Most. Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore. Many priests concelebrated at the Eucharistic celebrations. The homily was preached by Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha. Many parishioners and pilgrims participated in the festive mass. At the end the main donors of the feast were honoured by the Bishop.
Celebration of Vespers
On the previous day of the feast , Vespers day was held on 27th October, 2018. The program of the day began with St. Jude statue procession to Pakshikere town, a small prayer service was conducted by Rev Fr Mathew Vas – Parish Priest of Kinnigoli church. Then the procession proceeded to the church followed by holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas. At the end, Novena to St Jude was conducted.
At the end main donors of the feast were honoured. Meal was served to all people.
