Nov 9 : On 25th October 2020, 91 young students of Sacred Heart Church, Madanthyar were conferred with the Sacrament of Confirmation.
At 9:15 AM, Bishop of Mangalore Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha was welcomed by Parish Priest Rev. Fr Basil Vas, Mr Leo Rodrigues (Parish Vice President), Mr Jerald Moras (Parish Secretary) and by all the Confirmands.
Bishop began scrutinizing the confirmands by asking them certain questions relating to the Catholic faith and also catechized them. After an hour of Catechesis, the Holy Eucharist began at 10:30 AM and all the Confirmands and their parents devoutly participated in the Holy Eucharist..jpg)
Parish Priest Rev Fr Basil Vas expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha for confirming the students with the Sacrament of Confirmation. He also thanked the Choir, the Catechists who trained the students for over a month and also the volunteers who helped to make this day a successful one.
All regulations regarding Covid 19 were observed and followed.
