First communion celebration in Jipe Substation of Kifaru Parish :
3rd November, 2018 was a great day for the people of Jipe. 14 children received Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament for the first time. A well planned meaningful liturgy was celebrated. The Parish priest Rev. Fr. Hilary Lobo was the main celebrant and Rev. Fr. Victor Machado gave a meaningful homily.
After the Eucharist there was a get together of all the people. They felicitated the children and all eat together. After the meal there was a cultural dance and singing by the people.
Jipe substation of Kifaru parish is 35 k.m. from the Kifaru Parish Church and it is in the remote mountain area. The 5 candidates of Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, stayed in the Substation from 1st September for a village exposure programme as a part of their formation. These candidates had prepared the children for First Holy Communion.
With the guidance and motivation of Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, the in charge of Substation, the people prepared a good celebration.
First communion celebration in Kileo Substation of Kifaru Parish:
On 4th November 2018, the catholic community at Kileo celebrated the First Holy Communion of 12 children. With the guidance and motivation of Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, the in charge of Substation, the people prepared a good celebration.
A meaningful liturgy was celebrated. Rev. Fr. Hilary Lobo the Parish Priest presided over the liturgy and gave communion to the children. Fr. Victor con-celebrated the Eucharist.
After the Mass all had meal together. With a lot of enthusiasm, the people had come together and prepared meal and shared their joy as 12 of their children got the first Holy Communion.
