On the fifth day of his stay in SAME the Bishop visited Kileo sub-station which is 10 km far from Kifaru the mission centre. The people of Kileo extended a warm welcome to the Bishop. The Bishop then celebrated Holy Mass for the people of the station and distributed a crucifix each to the 30 families of the station. He also visited Mr Mathias Mtua who is on bed due to paralysis and prayed over him.
Fr Vincent Monteiro, parish priest of Kinnigoli; Fr Onil D’Souza, director of Saint Anthony’s Charity Institutes Jeppu; Fr Alwyn D’Souza, superior of the mission; Fr Hilary Lobo, the parish priest of Kifaru and Mr Vincent Mascarenhas from Moodbidri were present on the occasion.
