Aug 27 : It is a special day for the parishioners and devotees at Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres Mangalore. A thanksgiving mass was offered in honour of Our Lady of Miracles by the Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, after a gap of three months wherein the church was closed for repairs and painting.
The Bishop presiding over the liturgical celebration, thanked God for his bountiful blessings that He has showered on the Church and the parish community. He also prayed for the well-wishers and donors, the parish clergy, parish pastoral council and the parish community who have directly or indirectly supported this work.
Renovated prayer station / Grotto of Our Lady of Miracles was blessed after the mass. All the service providers were honoured by the bishop for their service to the parish in making this day possible. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth – parish priest, Fr Ivan D’Souza – Assistant, Fr Onil D’Souza – Director St Anthony’s Ashram Jeppu, Fr J B Crasta, Fr Walter D’Mello – Judicial Vicar, Fr Maxim and Fr Kenneth, concelebrated the Eucharist along with the Bishop.
