Nov 23 : The City Deanery council meeting was held on 15th November, 2020 at 4:30 pm, at Frad Saib hall, Kulshekar. The meeting began with a prayer conducted by Very Rev Fr Victor Machado, the Dean of followed by welcoming the gathering. A book titled “Somyache Yenem, Kurpe Denem” authored by Very Rev. Fr Victor Machado was released by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore diocese.
Then an introductory talk was given by the Bishop insisting on the need of pastoral planning in the diocese and the ways to go about. This was followed by the presentation of statistical data by Dr John D’Silva, regarding the conditions and needs of the people of the diocese. All the participants from 12 parishes were asked to prepare an action plan that would be executed in their respective parishes. This was followed by the selection of secretaries to all the 21 commissions of the diocese. The session concluded with the vote of thanks at 7:30 pm.
