May 13, 2019: An Orientation programme for Secretaries of various pastoral commissions, Vicar varas, and lay leaders representing various commissions was held on 10 May at Pastoral Institute Bajjodi.
Most Rev Dr Gerald Isac Lobo Bishop of udupi was the resource person of the program. He in his input explained the importance of a pastoral plan in the diocese, various steps of preparing a pastoral plan, role of pastoral commissions, involvement of lay people in the plan etc He shared his experiences and feedback about the pastoral plan in Udupi diocese.
Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha Bishop Mangalore gave the key note address. Fr Joachim Fernandes director SCC led the prayer, Fr Peter D Souza Director Pastoral Institute welcomed the gathering, Mr M P Noronha proposed vote of thanks.
The participants shared their opinions and sought clarifications on the topic.
