Madanthyar Parish takes initiative to build house for a poor family

Dec 7 : Christmas is a season of love and it becomes more meaningful when we share love with each other. Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar made this season of advent and upcoming Christmas meaningful by constructing a house for a needy family. This great project was initiated by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Basil Vas with the help of many generous donors who contributed willingly to complete this project. St Agnes college Mangalore and Apostolic Carmelite sisters were also a part of this project. They too shared this project equally by funding it. The inauguration and blessing was done by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore at 3:00 PM on 4th December 2021. Bishop congratulated the parish priest and the entire parish community for undertaking this charitable activity and keeping up the spirit of Christianity. Around 60 people were present for this inauguration. Finally Fr Basil Vas thanked Bishop and all the donors who helped to complete this project.
