Sep 21 :sgr Lawrence Maxim Noronha has been appointed as the new Vicar General of Diocese of Mangalore by Most Rev Peter Paul Saldanha , Bishop of Mangalore on 21st September 2018. He will take charge on 26th September 2018.
Msgr Lawrence Maxim Noronha has been appointed as the new Vicar General of Diocese of Mangalore by Most Rev Peter Paul Saldanha , Bishop of Mangalore on 21st September 2018. He will take charge on 26th September 2018.
Fr Maxim, S/o Albert Noronha and Florine Noronha, hails from Pamboor ( Bantakal) Parish in Udupi Diocese. He was ordained on 10 October 1989 for the diocese of Mangalore. He Served as Assistant Priest in Bhalki and Jalasangi (Bidar ), Pangla( Shankarapura) and Bendur Parishes. In 1994 he was appointed as the Pasish Priest of Piusnagar where he served for seven years .He was the parish priest at Ferar parish for Seven years. In 2008 he was appointed as the Procurator (Financial Administrator) of Mangalore Diocese for five years. In 2013 he was appointed as the Parish Priest of Modankap Parish and Vicar vara of Bantwal deanery.
He is a priest for 29 years, his pastoral experience, administrative skills, simplicity, approachability and friendly nature would definitely make him good Vicar General of Mangalore diocese.
