Pastoral Consultation and Chrism Mass of Mangalore Diocese held

March 25 : The pastoral Consultation and Chrism Mass of the diocese of Mangalore was held on 24 March 2021 presided over by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldnaha , Bishop of Mangalore.

The pastoral Consultation was held in the morning, at C M Hall of St Joseph Seminary Jeppu Mangalore.

During the pastoral consultation the Bishop released the book of the pastoral plan of the diocese of Mangalore. The Convener of the Pastoral plan, Fr Joseph Martis explained in brief the content of the book and some tips to execute the pastoral plan of the diocese.

Fr Paul Rego and Fr Herald Pereira enlightened about execution of the pastoral plan in their diocese, its relevance, effectiveness, results, and the role of the parish priest in realizing the plan with some challenges. The doubts were clarified by them during the interaction session.

The consultation was held on liturgical matters moderated by Fr Bonaventure Nazreth, Parish Priest Milagres. Fr Ronald Serrao and Fr Vijay Machado clarified various liturgical issues represented by the deaneries.

The Consultation on Educational matters was held, moderated by Fr Alwyn  Serrao and Fr Anthony Shera gave clarifications on some of the issues.

The Jubilarian Senior priests were felicitated by the Bishop along with Msgr Maxim L Noronha Vicar General and Fr Ronald Serrao the Rector of the Seminary.

Bishop gave his concluding remarks, Fr Francis Rodrigues, Parish Priest Vorkady gave the felicitation speech about the Jubilarian priests, Fr Rohith D Costa Compeered the programme and Fr Joseph Martis proposed vote of thanks.

The Second part of the consultation was held at Rosario Cathedral with Recollection, Confession, adoration for Priests, Chrism Mass and renewal of Priestly vows, presided over by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, the Bishop of Mangalore.
