Mangaluru Aug 06: The valedictory function of the Journalism Course – 2017, organized by Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education in collaboration with Canara Communication Centre and Daijiworld Weekly, was held at Sandesha Hall, Bajjodi .
Addressing the gathering Mr. Walter Nandalike, the founder of Daijiworld Media said, “journalism is not a one sided business, rather a great responsibility to build a healthy society”.
Chief Guest Mr. B.M Basheer, the news editor of Vartha Bharathi also spoke on the occasion and encouraged the budding journalists to be responsible readers and writers
In his presidential address Bishop of Mangalore, Dr Alosyus Paul D’Souza said, “being journalist is a special call from God therefore take this as a serious responsibility to bring truth, justice and harmony in the society”
.
Four of the students shared their enriching experiences during this short term journalism course.
Fr Richard, Director of Canara Communication Centre presented the course details and shared his experience. Br. Mervin welcomed and Ms Ashel delivered the vote of thanks.
Br Rajesh and Ms Rhema compéred the programme. Director of Sandesha Fr V. Vijay Lobo, Assistant Director Bro Victor and Mr Roy Castalino, trustee of Sandesha were present.
