Aug 19, 2016: Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru diocese, will be in Bahrain for Konkani Community’s Monti Fest celebrations this year. He will be the main celebrant at Sacred Heart Church, Bahrain on Friday, September 9 for the Monti Fest Mass.
The celebrations will begin with blessing of the new corn (novem) and floral offerings by children to Infant Mary at 9.15 am followed by solemn feast Mass in Konkani at Sacred Heart Church. This will be followed by short cultural programme with Konkani skit ‘Saunskratechen Sathyanas’ and feast lunch at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium.
The 9 days of Novena with Mass in preparation for the feast will begin on Wednesday, August 31 conducted by visiting priest Fr Roshan Rosario.
