Mangaluru, June 01: Diocese of Mangalore submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister of Karnataka against the proposal of removing the Good Friday Holiday, through the DC of Mangalore on 1 June 2019. The delegation led by Msgr Maxim L Noronha Vicar General Diocese of Mangalore met the Shri Shashikanth Senthil DC of Mangalore and gave the memorandum on behalf Mangalore Diocese.

The members of delegation Fr Victor Viajy Lobo PRO of Mangalore Diocese, Fr J.B Crasta Secretary Laity Commission, Fr Anthony Sera Secretary Catholic Board of Education, Fr Richard D Souza Director Canara Communication Centre, Mr Susheel Noronha member of Catholic Council of India and Mr Roy Castelino Ex President Konkani Sahitya Academy, Mr Aloysius D’Souza, HM Rosario high school, urged the DC to do the needful. District Commissioner assured that he would strongly put across the concern of the Christian Community to the honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka.
