Mangaluru, Oct 7 : After the grace filled two days of “Youth Bible Convention 2019” organized by Indian Catholic Youth Movement – Mangalore diocese, the third day of the convention began with praise and worship service at 9.00 AM, conducted by Br Rony and team. This was followed by a session for the day on the topic “Be a loving Holy Bible – Be a witness to Jesus” by Fr Paul Melwyn.
Rev. Msgr Maxim Noronha, the Vicar general of Diocese of Mangalore con-celebrated the eucharistic mass along with Rev. Fr Ronald D’Souza – Director ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Fr Ashwin Cardoza – Designated Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese and Rev Fr Cyprian Lewis – Director of Divine Call Center and Fr. Abhram D’Souza SVD. In the homily, Msgr Maxim Noronha expressed services of St Francis Assisi and prayed for the betterment of the youth.
Valedictory program commenced at 12.45 PM. Some participants shared their experiences of the three days of divine grace and experiences. The vote of thanks was proposed by Veena Vas – General Secretary, ICYM Mangalore Diocese. Mementos were distributed as a mark of appreciation to guests and all those who served as volunteers by Rev Fr Ronald D’Souza and Rev Fr Ashwin Cardoza.
The final day was graced by past presidents, Mr Stevan Permude and Mr Elroy Saldanha Omzoor, along with some of the past executive and council members. The event winded up with a group photograph and sumptuous lunch.
