Nov 04, 2017: Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza the Bishop of Mangalore unveiled the logo of the ‘Pavitraatma Abhishekotsva 2017’ a four days State level Convention to be held from 9th to 12th November at Rosario Cathedral grounds on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church. In his address the said, ‘During the past fifty years the Catholic Church has become lively and vibrant because of the Charismatic Renewal. We can see and feel it in the way people participate in the worship and the way the people pray. A number of people are engaged in works of mercy because of the message the divine touch they have experienced because of the Renewal. People irrespective of caste and creed have changed their life after attending Charismatic Retreats. The Charismatic Renewal is a gift given by God the Church. Hence it is an occasion for us to thank God for the blessings He has showered on the Church and on the individuals’.
Fr Onil D’Souza the Convener of the Convention said that Bishops, Priests, Sister, leaders and people fourteen Dioceses of Karnataka will be participating in the four days Convention. The Convention will take place in the evening from 4pm to 8pm. Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will inaugurate the Convention on Thursday 9th November at Rosario Cathedral Grounds at 4.30 pm and offer the inaugural Holy Mass. Bishop Francis Serrao of Shimoga Diocese will be offering Holy Mass on Friday 10th November, Bishop Lawrence Mukkuzhy of Belthangady will offer Holy Mass on Saturday and Most Rev Dr Bernard Moras the Arch Bishop of Bengaluru will be offering concluding Holy Mass on Sunday 12th of November. A team of well known preachers will be preaching the Word of God on all the four days. 15,000 people from Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod districts are expected to participate in the Convention. The Convention will take place in Kannada language. A Souvenir will be released on the last day of the Convention.
Adequate parking arrangements have been made at Emme Kere grounds (busses, mini bus and tempo) and St Anne’s School grounds for the four wheelers. Two hundred volunteers will be serving at the grounds to help people to participate in the Convention.
A three days training (10th to 12th) will held for the leaders from fourteen dioceses of Karnataka at St Anthony’s Ashram Jeppu. Around five hundred leaders will be attending the training programme.

Crasta, various committee members Mr Alwyn Mascarenhas, Mr Naveen Sequeira, Mr Elias Coelho, Mr Dolphi Lobo, Mr Alwyn D’Souza, Mr Ronald D’Souza, Mrs Bernardine Mascarenhas, Mr Arun Saldanha, Mr J V D’Mello, Mr Elias Fernandes, Mr Vincent Mascarenhas, Mr Stanely and others were present on the occasion. Fr Melwyn Noronha the Spiritual Director of Mangalore Service Team welcomed the gathering and Mr Arun Lobo the Chairman of Service Team proposed the vote of thanks.

ಅ. ವಂ. ಡಾ. ಎಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಪಾವ್ಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕಥೋಲಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಜ್ಮ್ಯಾಟಿಕ್ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಲಾಂಛನವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷಕರ ನಿವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಧರ್ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ‘ಕಥೋಲಿಕ ಧರ್ಮಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಜ್ಮ್ಯಾಟಿಕ್ ನವೀಕರಣದ ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿವಸಗಳ ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ನವೆಂಬರ್ 9 ರಿಂದ 12 ರ ತನಕ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 4 ರಿಂದ ರಾತ್ರಿ 8 ಗಂಟೆ ತನಕ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ 14 ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು, ಧರ್ಮಭಗಿನಿಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಜನರು ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿರುವರು. ಕಳೆದ ಐವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾರಿಜ್ಮ್ಯಾಟಿಕ್ ಸಂಚಲನದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಥೋಲಿಕ ಧರ್ಮಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಆದುದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಜನರ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಹುರುಪು-ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಬಂದಿದೆ, ಜನರು ನವೀಕರಣದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸೇವೆಯ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಧ್ಯಾನ-ಕೂಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಜೀವನ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಒಳಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ’, ಎಂದರು.
ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಫಾ. ಒನಿಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜರವರು ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಗುರುವಾರ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 9 ನೇ ತಾರೀಕಿನಂದು ಅ. ವಂ. ಡಾ. ಎಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಪಾವ್ಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಸಾಯಾಂಕಾಲ 4.45 ಕ್ಕೆ ಉದ್ಗಾಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಆ ದಿವಸದ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ 10 ನೇ ತಾರೀಕಿನಂದು ಶಿಮೊಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಬಿಶಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಮತ್ತು ಶನಿವಾರ ಬೆಳ್ತಂಗಡಿ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಶಪ್ ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಮುಕ್ಕುಳಿಯವರು ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದಿತ್ಯವಾರ ಸಾಯಾಂಕಾಲ 6 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಮಹಾ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಅ. ವಂ. ಡಾ. ಬರ್ನಾಡ್ ಮೊರಾಸ್‍ರವರು ಸಮರೋಪ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರವಚನ ಮಾಡಲಿರುವರು. ದ. ಕ. ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಂದ 15 ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ದೂರದಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಬಸ್ಸು, ಮಿನಿ ಬಸ್ಸ್, ಟೆಂಪೋ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಮ್ಮೆಕೆರೆ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಉಳಿದ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೈಂಟ್ ಆ್ಯನ್ಸ್ ಶಾಲಾ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಸ್ವಯಂ-ಸೇವಕರು ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವರು.
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 10, 11 ಮತ್ತು 12 ತಾರೀಕಿನಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ 14 ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬರುವ 500 ಮುಖಂಡರಿಗೆ ಜೆಪ್ಪು ಸಂತ ಆಂತೋನಿ ಆಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
