Mangaluru, Dec 21: Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education, Mangaluru, managed by Karnataka Regional Catholic Bishops Conference, on Wednesday December 21 announced the 26th annual Sandesha Awards for the year 2017.
The awardees are Dr Kamala Hampana (literature), actor Prakash Rai (Prakash Raj) (media), Yuvaraj K (art), Anil Patrao (Konkani music) and Mother Teresa Memorial Education Trust run by Shamita and Renita (education). Also, John Devaraj has been chosen for Sandesha Special Recognition Award, 2017.
ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ 2017
ಕಲೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಲು 1989ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಾಂತೀಯ ಕಥೋಲಿಕ ಬಿಷಪರ ಮಂಡಳಿಯಿಂದ ಆರಂಬಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನವು ವಿವಿದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ 26 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ತುಳು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತ ಬಂದ ನಾಡಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಕಲಾವಿದರನ್ನು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಗೌರವ ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಆರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ recomendation ಪಡಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ನಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ರವರ ಅಧ್ಯಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಪುರಸ್ಕøತರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಹಸ್ತಗಳಿಂದ ಈ ಕೈಂಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತ ಬಂದುದರಿಂದ ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನ ಕೊಡಮಾಡುವ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನವಿದೆ. ಇದೀಗ 26ನೇ ವರ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ಡಾ.ನಾ. ದಾಮೋದರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಾರಾ ಅಬೂಬಕ್ಕರ್, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಚಂದ್ರಕಲಾ ನಂದಾವರ, ಶ್ರೀ ಎರಿಕ್ ಒಝೆರಿಯೊ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ರಿಚರ್ಡ್ ಲುವಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂ| ಫಾ. ವಿಕ್ಟರ್ ವಿಜಯ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಅವರ ಮೇಲುಸ್ತುವಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಫಲಿತಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದು, ದಿನಾಂಕ 21.12.2016ರಂದು ತಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಜನವರಿ 13, 2017, ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 5.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education, Mangalore, managed by Karnataka Regional Catholic Bishops Conference, has been for the past 26 years honouring the personalities who have made significant contribution to Kannada, Konkani and Tulu Literature, Media, Education Art and Culture. By choosing to award the deserving persons based on the basis of merit, the Sandesha Awards have gained recognition of their own standard. Here I am before you to announce 26th Sandesha Awards.
Mr Na D’Souza, Dr Na Damodar Shetty, Mrs Sara Abubakker, Mrs Chandrakala Nandavar, Mr Eric Ozario and Mr Richard Louis are the Juries of Sandesha Awards. These Awards have been selected with guidance of Rev. Fr Victor Vijay Lobo the Director of Sandesha and notified to the general public on 21st December 2016.
Sandesha Awards 2017 ceremony will be held on Friday 13th January 2017 at Sandesha premises at 5.30 pm. We request you to be present for the programme and give publicity in your media.
