Bishop of Mangalore felicitated Ms Sparsha M D Souza the newly selected Civil Judge

Mar 5 : Bishop  of Diocese of Mangalore, Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha  felicitated  the  newly selected Civil Judge by the High Court of Karnataka, Ms  Sparsha M D Souza, at the Bishop’s House, Mangalore on 5 March 2021.

Dr John Edward  D Silva,  Secretary, of the Diocesan Pastoral Parished  delivered the felicitation address and presented a rarest personality of Ms Sparsha.

The bishop in his presidential  address said, “Sparsha has embarked on the mission of Jesus Christ who worked for the truth and justice. I met Sparsha as a simple woman with an extraordinary approach. She is a humble woman with a deep sense of reverence towards spiritual leaders. She has brought laurels to the diocese and to our community. She is an inspiration and model to all youth to achieve success in life with hard work and commitment in life.  He also cautioned that it is difficult to put Compassion and Justice together , yet she can achieve it with the grace of God” .

Advocate Sparsha in her address  thanked the Bishop and Diocesan body for organising the felicitation programme. She gratefully recalled all the people who inspired and supported her in her journey towards the judiciary. She vowed herself that she will use this opportunity for the welfare of  humankind, especially ensuring the rights of the deprived ones and work for truth with compassion and justice. She gave a call to the diocese to motivate more people into civil service.

Very Rev. Msgr Maxim Noronha, Vicar General of the Diocese, Very Rev. Fr Joseph Martis, Secretary, Council of Priests and Coordinator, Mangalore Diocesan Pastoral Plan , Dr John D Silva , Secretary DPP,   were present on the dais.

Mr Joylus D’souza, Chairman of State’s Christian Development Board and Mr J R Lobo, the former MLA of Mangalore South constituency , the members of College of Consulters ,  the heads of the religious institutions, Superior Generals of religious congregations, priests and lay faithful were present.

Fr J B Crasta, Secretary of the Laity commission, invoked God’s blessings on the programme. Fr Maxim Rosario , the Estate Manager  welcomed the gathering, Fr Victor Vijay Lobo PRO proposed vote of thanks, Mr  Roy Castelino  second PRO compeered the programme.

Note about   Ms Sparsha :

Ms Sparsha M D Souza was born  in Mysuru , completed her Primary , High School and Pre University studies from St Ann’s  educational institutions Bolar Mangaluru. After completing her studies in  PUC in Science ( PCMB) pursued her graduation in BSC ( PCM) from St Agnes College Mangaluru, affiliated to Mangaluru  University with distinction. She had academic excellence and was good in extracurricular activities during this tenure of her education.

She completed her LLB from SDM Law College , Mangaluru, in 2015 ,enrolled as an Advocate by the Karnataka State Bar Council on 04-09-2015 (Roll No. KAR/1559/2015) and began her career as an Advocate in Mangaluru.

She worked as  an Office Assistant/Junior Advocate under A.Dinesh Bhandary, Mangaluru  from November 2008  to November 2020. Worked as Junior Advocate at a Law  firm Paniyala and Associates under Vivekananda Paiyala  Advocate, Mangaluru from  December 2020  till present. Prior to it she also worked as Domain Specialist at Mars Spectraventure Pvt. Ltd, Software Technology Parks of India, Mangaluru and  Worked as Office Assistant at Maria Advertisers, Mangaluru.

She is a great woman of faith in God , Compassionate,   hardworking , human, intelligent, simple , capable of grasping the grass root realities of people who face problems in life and an animal lover.
