Aug. 10, 2018: The annual feast of St Lawrence Church, Bondel was held here on Friday August 10 with much devotion .Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza was the main celebrant of the Mass. Fr Ronald Serrao, Professor ,Jeppu Seminary preached the Homily. Fr Andrew Leo D Souza ,Parish Priest, Bondel Rev Fr Andrew D’souza, Parish Priest of Katipalla, Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto, Principal of St Lawrence English Medium School and many guest Priests were the co celebrants.
After the mass Bishop presented blessed candles to sponsors. Same time Bishop was feliciated by Fr Andrew Leo D Souza on behalf of parishioners. A large number of devotees thronged the church premises to seek blessings and participate in the celebrations. Various stalls added to the festivity. Lunch was served to all the devotees.
The feast will be culminated with a high mass at 6.00 pm . Msgr Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Appointed new Bishop of Mangaluru will be the main celebrant.
