The proposal for establishing a sub-station at Manjotti was put forward by Fr Henry Machado in 1991 when he was the parish priest of Belthangady parish.  Due to the long distance people of Manjotti preferred to have a chapel in their vicinity.  The chapel was built during the time of Fr William Fernandes.  It serves 60 families with 2 wards.  It is served from Belthangady.
