Siddakatte was a filial of Agrar.  Bishop Paul Perini formed it into a separate parish on April 10, 1926.  Monsignor R.F.C. Mascarenhas had bought a plot of land here for a church long before.  Fr Reginald Pinto of Agrar constructed a small chapel, which was blessed by the Jesuit Superior Fr G.D. Alberti sj.  Fr A.J. D’Silva was appointed as the first resident chaplain on May 1, 1926.  

Fr Edwin Gonsalves built the presbytery.  Fr John Cornelio built the present church building, the foundation stone of which was blessed and laid on August 31, 1958 by Msgr Albert V. D’Souza, the Vicar Capitular of the Diocese.
 
Fr A.J. D’Silva built two schools at Siddakatte and Kukkipady.
